Any person who is the victim or survivor of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, 或形式的性行为不端有权决定是否向执法部门寻求协助, campus safety, or other campus authorities.

Survivors may choose to:

  1. notify campus safety, local police, or both;
  2. be assisted by campus authorities in notifying law enforcement; and
  3. decline to notify such authorities.

Preserving Evidence

Victims or survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking should consider the importance of preserving evidence. 执法人员或卫生保健专业人员可能能够协助收集和保存证据, 在刑事案件中或为了获得保护令,哪些可能是必要的证据. Evidence may be lost if not preserved quickly. A list of community-based resources is included at the end of this document.

How to File a Formal Complaint
